Does game loaded from an image functions the same as original copy?

Yes i m curious about this. I just backed up a game with alcohol 120(age of mythology, old game but i just wanna try daemon with it)

When i opened the mds file with daemon, the game ran perfectly. But when i tried multiplayer it DOESNT work, it says something about illegal cd key

Then i tried my originial disk, it doesnt work now...

DOES images function the same as the original disk? With VALID cd-key?

Do you mean multiplayer in the internet or over LAN?
Maybe the person who wants to play with you over LAN need to have another CD-Key than you. You and the person have to buy this game.
