How does it work?

Hi...have been devleloping s/w for 15 years now, and am very interested in the underlying mechanism that enables this to work.

Is the basic idea that you've written and install a virtual device driver? Are there other mechanisms that you are using?

I am just plain curious about how this works -- any pointers would be most welcome...

..and thanks for such a great tool - it has saved me tons of time!
