Cant mount image to pc

I just got a new computer off a friend and he put an .iso file on a dvd of a program i need.I right click on the icon(which is red) and go to Vitual CD/DVD ROM - Device 0:[F] D:/...... then mount image and select the .iso file on the dvd and click open.Then a window pops up Saying please wait and then nothing happens?

Hi, the standard questions are what version of Windows and what version of Daemon tools?

There's been an update, October 30, 2009, DAEMON Tools Lite v4.35.5 (with SPTD 1.62)...
