It mainly depends on your drive whether you can dump Cactus Data Shield with non-specialized
software (like Alcohol, nero, DT Pro etc.).
But if EAC is working you can also choose to extract to an image instead of single files.
...or what did you mean by "traces" ?
P.S.: as for all Audio protections it's recommended to prevent such discs from autostarting before reading them

This is only an 'academic' question, but how can I backup an audio CD protected by Cactus Data Shield?
CDRWin and Nero cannot even read the CD, Alcohol 120% vers. 1.4.7.1 creates an image 2 GB large!
The only thing I manage to do is to extract the traces with EAC (Exact Audio CopyTags: None
