Somebody know how to remove this piece of crap ? My Friend here has a problem in Burning CD/DVDs and the ACEDRV06 (Protect Disc v6) wont uninstall under device manager - non pnp drivers.
You can do like in this post and change the value to 4 and reboot. But don't change it to zero if you want to re-enable it or reinstall it, remember what the initial value was when changing it back. Also you should be able to just delete the whole key for ACEDRV06 under ...\services to keep it from loading. Do registry stuff at your own risk, blah, blah. Also if the item is a special color under non-pnp I think that could mean the file is missing on the hard disk BUT the driver was installed at one point in time- if that's the case don't worry about it because the driver is no longer there. If you double click the entry it might sometimes say driver file not found or something similar.
