    my cd rom wont read my imported japanese DVD

    the dvd is in ntsc encoding and works in my dvd player. alcohol wont recognize the disk and when i try to explore the disk from my computer... death and chaos happen and usually i wind up ctrl+alt+delete-ing. any advice would be appreciated

    As for the subject of your thread I'd suggest not to put the DVD into your CD ROM drive but into your DVD drive instead.

    Another idea would be to turn off the autoplay feature in Windows, maybe the DVD has some fancy tool on it that makes your PC crash.
