Can one of you guys (or your friend(s)) make a flash webpage with a neat looking countdown screen? That would be neat. As you know from the news section, the release date will be announced 7 days in advance (hopefully).
If the DT crew decides to wait until october 31th just to tease us, I fully understand them. This forum has litterarily been plagued by those users who whines their ass off because they want to beta-test and\or get to know the releasedate wich doesent even exist. I feel kinda sorry for the admins, then especially LocutusofBorg. He have told the stupid fuckers to stop this lame crap at least a THOUSAND times.
But yes, a releasedate would still be nice, and maybe a countdown. But no. I'll have to wait until the DT Crew says the program is finished along with everyone else. DT has made my life at the computer a whole lot more easier, and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you for a GREAT program!
Why use xp 64bit, when it still is in beta and brings only problems and most apps work the same in 32bit xp, i've got a AMD64bit cpu and i'm still waiting for all the apps/games to work(using the 64bit bus) on 64bit before i switch.
Well, first of all, Windows XP x64 is not beta anymore, are you confusing it with Vista?
Secondly, some computers are already shipped with Windows XP x64 so you don't really have a choice but to use it. And honestly, if I bought a 64bit computer and could choose between XP i386 and x64, I'd definitely choose the license for the latter - wouldn't want to have to pay again once all the software I need is x64-compatible.
"I was inappropriately blunt, wasn't I? Sorry, I do that a lot."
While we're on the dual booting topic, VMWare 5.5 RC supports 64bit OS's and mounts CD/DVD images.
I have always wanted to have concurrent booting - with VMWare I am on my way to making it a reality - setting up Gentoo on my desktop so I can get VMWare running on it and run XP from inside Linux....
