Issues with MechCommander 2

Now that the old Mech Commander games are free, anybody use daemon tools to run it? I'm currently getting a message to insert the drive when I tried to use the downloadable ISO.

Did you install MC2 from the same drive you're trying to run it from?

Yes, I downloaded the iso from http://mechcommander.org/getmc2.html , mounted the image using deamon tools, and installed from there. I then tried to run the game with no luck. I tried the different emulation options, but got the same result.

and what if you burned the disc??

The file seems to be distribued as an iso, ie there are no protection info on it, on the other side, according to what they say, the exe is still protected. You'll have to do as they said on the dl page...

Have you tried ProtectionID to check what copy protection is used on the image?

That site put up a torrent link to a new iso since I last posted. Using that one worked for me, no emulation needed at all.
