for thos who have problems with colin mcrae dirt

since the update to version 1.1 it seems it makes more trouble running it from image than before. it sometimes takes several tries to run.

but in my case it allways works if i remount the image (unmount and mount again) than start it from autostart menu. it does not work by only doubleclicking the drive to get to autostart menu.

after remounting the image it allways works at first try.

im getting a exe error after it checks disc seems to be okay then i get a exe error i instaleed the new dameon and the stp thingy and everything is okay but the exe error pops up any ideas? thx

Without a precise description of what happens when you're trying to run the game and what error message you get, we cannot help you figure out what's wrong. Besides, it's really hard to decipher your post, it would be appreciated if you could try to use a little punctuation to structure your sentences.

problem with dirt.exe

i pass the disk check,then the screen goes black,but then returns to the desktop and says:
DIRT.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

i know it's not because of my system...it's powerful and i've disabled RAID...
what should i do?

What GFX card do you have?
Colin MaRae: Dirt requires Pixel Shader Model 3 to run.

more to the point - what protection is it, i think the try and buy version is starforce, dont know about retail disk..

Game starts without problems if you have a good image. Doesn't matter if version 1.0 or 1.1

Do i need to install starforce drivers in order to start game from image ?

With latest 1.2 patch game won't start anymore.
