USB method: disable all your optical IDE drives, buy an IDE->USB adapter and put your IDE drive in there, connecting it to your computer via USB.

If IDE drives are present, you cannot play from any non-IDE drives. If none are present, it works. But supposedly, the newest StarForce version has overcome this trick too.

You can also just disable your optical IDE drives by switching off your computer, unplugging them (either power or IDE cables) and switching it on again. Then you have no IDE drives either so you can play from Daemon Tools.

By the way, you could easily have found this information by using the Search button!

Well, no. I have tried unplugging the IDE drives and that didn't work. I could not start the game with D-tools. I got the following message: "Disc read error when checking disc. Make sure a licensed disc is in the drive, the disc is not damaged and the valid Disc Key is entered."

I had entered the correct cd key but i guess this has to do with the fact that d-tools does not support SF 3 emulation yet. So, i think we are just gonna have to wait for the new installment of d-tools.

However, if somebody else managed to actually start it using d-tools or any other app, plz post.

As soon as you try to start a StarForce game again, it will automatically reinstall the StarForce drivers and prompt you to restart your computer.

To find if the StarForce drivers are installed on your computer follow these steps.

          1. Right click on my computer and select properties
          2. Go to the hardware tab and click on device manager
          3. In device manager, go to View and click on "Show hidden devices"
          4. Click on the expand icon (+) next to the "Non-Plug and Play Drivers"
          5. Look for 3 entries labeled, StarForce Protection Environment Driver, StarForce Protection Helper Driver, and StarForce Protection Synchronization Driver.
If these are present then you have StarForce drivers installed on your system.
I tried ths too, no (correct) DPM mesure.Quality 0% BWAedit :? I think my reader PHILIPS CDD5301 is a shit

To make a backup of worms 4 cant you just burn it onto a DVD and then play it off that? (yes I know this is an emulation forum but im just curious)

No. By the way Starforce prevent the use of simple copies... You need emulation and other tricks for a starforce protected game to run from a copy.

is this out yet in the US?

I really wanna buy this game, can anyone confirm it's even out in the US?

Most sites say it was released in september but no one has ever carried it.

To not only remove but also check for St0rkForce driver presence i'd suggest using their Removal Tool, if it wants to reboot they were there.. :P i got two of their birds which will NOT show up in device manager on at least one system for what reason ever.

I've NEVER gotten any 'Disk Read Error' messages from them.. either it IS one, or it's no emulation problem i say...
