An image created with Nero couldn't work. You've to remake your image with Alcohol 120% (www.alcohol-software.com).
Put your original cd in your dive, choose the image making wizard, enable the data position measurement (DPM) option with high precision, choose the mds image file typ. Press next til it starts and then choose a slow dpm reading like 1x,2x,4x.
Then shutdown your pc,unplug/disconnect your drive, strat your pc mount the image and play.

smartybarty, does it still work with your original? You may want to try creating a new image with Alcohol.

AnalCobra is right, a game as recent as PoP3 shouldn't be working from an .nrg file; to be honest, I'm at a loss to explain why it did work in the first place too.

Is it possible that the game auto-updated itself to a new version, updating the copy protection as well?

Well your only choice with starforce 3.6 is to open it up and disconnect the optical drives (while the computer is off....). There is no way they can know if you opened your computer or not...unless you don't put the cover back on right or if there is some kind of seal that is broken when you open it (which I have never seen on any computer ).

I don't think opening your computer will void any warranty either. You're supposed to be able to upgrade it (like add more RAM or a DVD burner for example)...

As long as you don't open sealed parts (such as an HDD or Power Supply Unit) you should be fine. If you want to be very sure, call the vendor... But it'd be really uncommon if you actually voided your warranty by opening up your computer. Don't think so.

In Germany (where I come from) are more than one court decisions about this subject.
Here in Germany it is fact that you do not void your warranty by upgrading your pc, because a pc is an "open system". Not a closed one like Amiga or C-64 long time ago. Only part which voids warranty (here in Germany) if not installed by a specialist is the CPU, because it is a semi-conductor.

That cannot be true. Take AMD for example, they sell CPUs and clearly state that if the CPU has signs of overheating, overclocking or mechanical damage the warranty is voided. If your CPU doesn't work and there are no such signs, you can go to your retailer and get a new one.

I have had some trouble with POP T2T myself. But finally i made it work.
I installed the game, unplugged optical drives, used sfcure(from gamecopyworld), mounted the MDS not the MDF(result from alcoohol) into DT 4, and there run perfectly. (except from some crashes - not related)
The thing is you also need a VALID cd-key. Otherwise it won't work.

                      What I did...several times, is:

                      Unplugged my optical drives
                      Mounted the MDS
                      Installed
Tried to play and it said it needs a correct cd-key...

But, if I dont plug out my optical drives, it doesnt say anything about the cd-key, it only gives me a cd error...

I tried SFN and StarFuck but they didnt help me...
I just wish for a way to crack this damn thing...=[

                      Also...how do I use SFCure?

If the CD is found to be invalid, the key won't be checked in the first place. Only if the CD check is successful will the key you entered upon installation be compared to the one that's stored on the CD (or in the mds file).

Since many websites offer mds-files for download, it appears that the unique CD key is pressed to the CD nowadays. That way an mds file is worthless without the right key.

Okay, but the main thing I would say was that the warranty is not voided by opening the pc case. Maybe AMD makes it so. I never had problems with AMD CPUs.
