Please note, that some security software may leave its kernel driver installed in your system even if you uninstalled this antivirus. Such drivers may still run on system start and cause described problems.
Also, please check digital signature of DT setup file.

i have downloaded the dt file straight from this site, several times in fact. it is not the file. how could i find and remove the kernel drivers, or know if they are even there? As far as i can see there is nothing of the sort loading at startup...
