You can also disable your optical IDE drives with software tools

benitojuarez has explained the best method for running new tiles.

You can also disable your optical IDE drives with software tools. See this post for recommendations on what to click when using Starforce Nightmare.

          I found it better to:
          Turn off PC
          Unplug CD\DVD-ROM IDE cables
          Turn on PC
          Run game

Unplugging the power only and my PC won't boot. (Perhaps it can detect that the IDE cables are connected to something and freezes trying to detect them.

Yah, somehow it still finds your IDE cables connected even with SFN, you MUST unplug them.. it is the only way.

Starforce Nightmare does not work for X3.

              ...

You win! I've always thought deciding whether to unplug one or the other was an equal decision and my system doesn't have that issue. Good to know.

And now when i boot the game it gives an error for not being able to acces files libraries ?.. error code 8. anyone familiar with this ?..

OK, DT4 is out, so images work now. But, I still burn backups. They are backups. An image isn't a backup. My discs always come in pairs: 1 pressed, 1 backup. I even make backups of my hard-disks. I have 4 HDs. 2 installed and two in the closet containing the data of my installed ones.
To contact me privately, pray. I might answer.

                      Running Worms4

You must have image with extension .mdf/.mds . Other extensions are not working.

I have .mdf/.mds image of Worms 4 and if I manually unplug IDE drivers, it WORKS.

Worms 4 is cool game, but Starforce sux.

The image must contain good DPM data, or it won't work. Alcohol sometimes doesn't do a good enough DPM extraction with some drives.

To be sure, you can create an image with Alcohol without DPM extraction, and download a file containing a good DPM (*.bwa or *.mds).

Yes. They said that there will be an update to the free version soon that will not require you to disconnect IDE drives.

There is another way around disconnecting your CD drive, this is what i have done.

I have installed a switch on the power cable to my pc that sits outside the machine, when i need to disable the cd drive I flick the switch which cuts the power from the drive. I then go into device manger and scan for changes and the DVD drive vanishes. You can then mount a good image of Worms into the DT4 virtual drive and play the game.

                              Works for me

I need a step-by-step on how to burn with alchohol 120% that file format, is there something I should do and if I should disable the RPSM or something.
