thanx alexander, I hope I will get this controller finally today working.
I think I have installed the medley drivers, because in the system manager the card is detected as raid ide controller......and in this description there is the word medley too
no this is my problem, the pc won't boot if my optical drives are connected to the RAID Card. so can you look into your bios and find out where the entry is?
I have the same problem when my CD rom is pluged into the ATA card and i bootup i get the error message saying my boot disk is missing ,so i have to unplug my cd rom from my ata card and everythings back to normal,any ideas what setting i have to change to get by the problem
@dr.art
- What was your original configuration ?
Maybe it's just jumper settings.
- In BIOS: Is/was IDE drive detection set to AUTO, or did you have custom settings for faster Boot Up ?
I'm not employed by Disc Soft and my views do not necessarily reflect the ones of the company.
What was drive configuration before you plugged your PCI controller ?
Your 2 hardrives always shared an IDE-Port ? There were no master/slave changes ? That's why i mentioned jumper settings.
