But I do'f fully undertsand this phrase to transalte:

Right. If you have 2 devices, you can copy data from disc1 to disc2 without saving temporary image file on your hard drive.

Locked disc is a disc which is used by another application.
E.g. start imaging from some disc via DT and then try to burn something to the same disc via Astroburn.

There is a sofrware operation called "lock disc". It commands the operating system to hold the dist for exclusive access by the program and not let it eject even if user presses the button on the drive (those might be separate lock types though). I suppose this error means that the disk has been already locked by some other application, not DT and therefore it is impossible to access it.
